Winnipeg ICE announce inaugural hockey school presented by TRUE Hockey

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg ICE announced on Thursday that the Inaugural Winnipeg ICE Hockey School presented by TRUE Hockey is now open for registration.  The school will be an opportunity for players born from 2010 to 2012 to participate in a WHL style hockey camp for a week.

The players who register will be using the new state-of-the-art ICE dressing room as well as other ICE facilities throughout the week.  Current ICE players, who will be named at a later date, will be the head instructors along with members of the RINK staff.

To commence the Winnipeg ICE Hockey School presented by TRUE Hockey, all players will go through a fun and engaging testing session with Testify Performance. This allows them to experience what a Winnipeg ICE player goes through during a Western Hockey League Training Camp.

Whether it be learning correct movement patterns that enhance on-ice skating ability or learning transferable skills by competing in games from a multi-sport background, this program has everything needed to optimize development while enhancing on-ice performance.

The camp will focus on:

  •     Quickness & Agility
  •     Passing & Shooting
  •     Puck Control Challenges
  •     Small Area Games

The Winnipeg ICE Hockey School presented by TRUE Hockey will take place from August 19-23, 2019 at the RINK Training Centre and is open to players born in 2010, 2011 and 2012.  It is a half day camp, with drop-off being at 8:00 a.m. and pick-up being at noon.

Each day of The Winnipeg ICE Hockey School will run as follows:

  •     1 x 60 minute on-ice session daily (Mon-Fri)
  •     1 x 60 minute off-ice session with RINK Testify Performance
  •     1 x 60 minute team building session

This is an experience your child does not want to miss out on!

We look forward to a great week!
