Savoie sets up Winnipeg’s 54th win of the season

Winnipeg ICE forward Matthew Savoie had three assists, to eclipse the 90 point mark this season, as the ICE beat the Prince Albert Raiders 4-1 Saturday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
Zack Ostapchuk, Evan Friesen, Ben Zloty and Connor McClennon scored as Winnipeg set a new franchise record with their 54th win of the season. The WHL record of most wins by a team in a 68 game regular season schedule is 54, now shared by Winnipeg and the 2018-19 Raiders.
Carter Anderson had the lone goal for Prince Albert, who were outshot 27-20.
Daniel Hauser earned his 36th win of the season in net for the ICE. He is now tied with Wyatt Hoflin (2014-15) for the most wins by a goaltender in franchise history.
Tikhon Chaika suffered the loss between the pipes for P.A.
The ICE finished the game 2/5 on the power play while the Raiders went 1/4.
