NEWS | ICE acquire Ottawa Senators prospect Carson Latimer from the Prince Albert Raiders

The Winnipeg ICE have acquired forward Carson Latimer from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for forward Aiden Oiring, a third round pick in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft and a conditional third round pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.

Prince Albert is a very good organization and we wish him all the best moving forward” said ICE President and General Manager Matt Cockell. “We are excited to add Carson to our team and look forward to his arrival in Winnipeg”.

Latimer, 19, from White Rock, British Columbia has played 121 regular season games registering 85 points (34 goals and 51 assists) over the past four WHL seasons with the Raiders and Edmonton Oil Kings.

The 6’1”, 191 pound forward has 28 points (10 goals and 18 assists) along with 20 penalty minutes this season.

Latimer was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the fourth round, 123rd overall in the 2021 NHL Draft.

He was selected by the Oil Kings in the third round, 48th overall in the 2018 WHL Prospects Draft.

The ICE roster currently includes two goaltenders, eight defencemen and 13 forwards.

The ICE close out the 2022 calendar at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena this afternoon at 5:00 when they host the Saskatoon Blades.
