ICE make it 7 straight

Swift Current Broncos goaltender Isaac Poulter made 36 consecutive saves before Mikey Milne finally scored for the Winnipeg ICE as the home side prevailed by a 3-1 final Sunday afternoon at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.

Milne’s goal extended his point scoring streak to seven consective games (five goalsĀ and 6 assists for 11 points).

Matthew Ward opened the scoring the Broncos in the first period, the only goal to beat Gage Alexander who finished the night making 18 saves.

Connor McClennon on the power play and Skyler Bruce also scored as Winnipeg improves their record to a WHL best 7-0.

Milne led the ICE with seven shots on goal as they out shot the Broncos 45-19.

Matthew Savoie assisted on McClennon’s game winning goal to extend his point streak to five games (three goals and 8 assists for 11 points).

Swift Current, now winless in five games, falls to 2-4-1 on the season.
